About the Studio West TeamBuzzy Biddinger
Buzzy Biddinger created Studio West to be an immersive performing arts program where children of all ages, abilities, and identities have a safe place to dance, to learn and to grow together without judgement.
From dancing starting at two-years old, Buzzy went on cheer and dance in college and for five professional sports teams including the Cleveland Cavaliers. She appeared in Sports Illustrated and on ESPN during the CAVS historic win over Golden State in 2016.
Buzzy has undergraduate degrees in health and human kinetics and dance from Ohio Wesleyan University and a masters in social work from THE Ohio State University. She spent several years working with children at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and has dedicated her career to addressing mental health and reducing bullying, abuse, social and racial inequities and self-harm in children and teens.
Through her education, experience and passion, Buzzy is committed to providing a nurturing environment where students can express themselves and heal through dance, movement and performing arts.
Cassady Chadwell
Cassady Chadwell is the Assistant Director at Studio West and has been a trusted right hand to Buzzy from Studio West’s inception.
Cassady has been performing since before she can remember. Even through college, Cass spent 12 years as a singer/dancer in showchoir. She choreographs showchoirs across the Midwest at both a high school and collegiate level.
Her passion for musical theatre led her to pursue a BFA in Theatre with a minor in dance from Viterbo University. During her college summers, she performed as a dancer at Valleyfair Amusement Park in Minneapolis.
Cassady is a West Family Dancer and production soloist at District West.
